Now we at Hampden Cars have had the pleasure of selling plenty of GT86s over the years but in terms of exclusivity nothing quite compares to the 1 of 86 Giallo edition. Applicably named Giallo edition as "Giallo" is yellow in Italian now I have no idea why a UK limited edition car manufactured by a Japanese brand has an Italian paint name but oh boy does it look good. The Giallo itself was £27,495 when it released compared to the base GT86 which sat below £23k so an extra £4500 in Spec which includes the obvious paint colour visible from Saturn, quilted leather sports seats which look fresh out of a £180k Bentley, heated front seats, black exterior decals and of course each one has its own production number.
This car in particular is number 28 out of 86 cars made and presents an opportunity to own a low mileage one in what is nothing short of an impressive condition especially because strong colours like yellow/orange/red fade in direct sunlight across many years but this one is still as yellow as the day it rolled off production.
As I said earlier the overall condition is very good for its age plus the underneath is pretty much mint which is crucial on these Japanese sports car as they can be susceptible to rust if driven on salty roads during winter months so its very important to check underneath these cars and if you are driving it through winter to use some form of rust protection.
To my knowledge at the time of writing this is the only Giallo edition currently for sale in the UK or the world with one in France with 60k miles (Its yellow but not a Giallo) for apparently £26k (30k Euros) so worst case scenario buy this one and sell it in France cause that is an insane price they demand over there.
In terms of history the car has full Toyota service history up until 2019 with the most recent owner acquiring the vehicle in November 2020. There is no paperwork during his ownership but we asked the garage which had being doing the MOTs and they have been servicing it for cash across the ownership period and remembered the car as it was his cousins car.
