We at Hampden cars have the pleasure of offering this lovely Kendo Edition MX-5, the kendo edition was a limited run of MX-5s released in early 2011 featuring two different spec options. The cheaper version was a soft top only 1.8L version which sat at £19k when it was released however the superior option such as the one we have for you here features an electronic retractable hardtop with a more pokey 2.0L engine which is very well regarded for its reliability like all petrol Mazda's usually do but this option was a little over £23k brand new but is 100% worth it then let alone now after depreciation. The hardtop means that you could easily drive this all year round and also reduces the likelihood of roof leaks as there is no exposed fabric roof that could degrade and tear when stored outside of a garage.
Mechanically the car is completely standard aside from a set of lowering springs that have been put on which makes an already impressive handling car absolutely insane with it feeling as though the car is super glued round corners similar to that of various types of Lotus that I've drove. The bodywork is in great condition for its age with the interior being in especially good condition with next to no wear on seats which will back up its low mileage. We have worked on the underneath of the MX-5 as it has had advisories for corrosion as these are a very common issue on all MX-5s and Japanese cars which is fine as long as you catch it and treat it early like we have. In total we have scraped off all loose surface rust to the solid metal and then applied a rust converter to treat any future rust progression and then a coat of underseal which will stop direct contact between the underneath and salty roads but all this means you will not have to worry for many years about your MX-5 falling apart from underneath.
Service history wise it has plenty with a total of 8 service stamps across its 48k mile life. The most recent was done this year in July and was a complete full service including spark plugs as well which adds up because the oil is exceptionally clean.
